Can you turn on the error reporting and debug (in the configuration.php file directly). That may give some additional clues to the problem.
Not directly related by your file permissions (folders 775 and 777) need to be set to 755 and the configuration file to 444.
I see you use Akeeba Admin Tools. Are you using the the 'secret code' function (by adding the code to the end of the administrator URL? With the absence of that code perhaps it's not letting you login but in my experience, the administrator side redirects to the front end if you don't provide it (but it's just a one thing to consider as a possibility).
